The osmotic conductance to glucose (OCG) is an important determinant of osmotic water transport in peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients, and can be used to monitor membrane integrity in patients during long-term PD. On the basis of computer simulations derived from the three-pore model of PD, we developed an easy, robust and accurate single dwell method for OCG estimation, providing results that closely correlated with actual ultrafiltration, sodium sieving and free-water transport. In the current mobile application we implement a novel, easy and robust single dwell method to determine OCG in individual patients, and monitor changes in OCG over time.
